MergeFit offers a streamlined solution for consolidating multiple workouts of the same type recorded via your Apple Watch or any compatible fitness tracker that syncs with Apple Health. Up to ten workouts can be combined into a single, comprehensive activity, with the app aggregating related health metrics such as heart rate, calories burned, cadence, route, and additional data points, which are associated with the merged workout.

Preview Functionality before Merging

When launching MergeFit, users are presented with a list of all recorded workouts. Selecting multiple sessions allows for a detailed preview of the potential merged activity, including key information like duration, route, and energy expenditure. The app also provides alerts if selected workouts are significantly spaced apart in time.

Workout Merge Notifications

MergeFit can notify users when new workouts become eligible for merging with existing sessions. Tapping these notifications directs users straight to the merge preview interface, facilitating a seamless merging process.

Exporting and Sharing Workouts

The app supports exporting workouts as FIT files and can upload these files directly to Strava. For other fitness platforms such as TrainingPeaks or Runalyze, users can manually upload the FIT files. MergeFit strives to preserve most of the original workout data within the exported files.

Practical Applications

<li>Incorrectly stopping instead of pausing during a workout? Users can initiate a new workout and then utilize MergeFit to combine the sessions effortlessly.</li>
<li>Maintaining an overview of multi-day hikes recorded as separate daily workouts? MergeFit simplifies merging multiple sessions into a single activity for comprehensive analysis.</li>
<li>Experiencing a mid-workout battery drain on your device? Workouts recorded on different devices can be combined with ease using MergeFit.</li>
</ul>

iPad Compatibility

The application functions identically on iPad as on iPhone; however, the user interface is not yet optimized for the larger display of the iPad.

Free Version Versus Purchase Options

MergeFit is available for free download with certain limitations:

<ul>
<li>The free version restricts merged workout durations to a maximum of one hour.</li>
<li>Workout merge notifications are not supported in the free edition.</li>
</ul>

To unlock full functionality and support ongoing development, users can purchase MergeFit Pro via an in-app transaction. This upgrade removes existing restrictions and enables access to future updates and features under development.
